Richard Charles Griffith, age 62, of Palmyra, NJ passed suddenly on May 7, 2024.

Richard was born in Barbados to Sheila Ottaline Griffith and Charles "Sam" Marshall, where he lived until his teenage years before relocating to Yeadon, PA. Richard met and married his wife, Marta, moving to Palmyra in 1984.

Richard spent his career in the transportation industry where he was a skilled forklift operator for several companies, including R&L Carriers in Burlington, NJ. Richard had a love of "oldies" music and enjoyed many activities with his family and friends, including fishing, especially for Stripers, watching kung fu movies, playing dominos, ping pong and cricket. He also was an artist who enjoyed oil painting and drawing, loved maintaining his yard and tending to his vegetable garden. Most of all, Richard was proud of his family and loved spending time with them.

Richard is survived by his beloved wife of almost 40 years, Marta M. Griffith (nee' Rivas), and their beloved daughter, Shila Scarlet Griffith. Also surviving are his siblings, George, Cecil, Louis, Margaret, Anthony, Mona, Sophie and Joseph, as well as his wife's siblings, Sandra, Ricardo, Yanira and José. Richard is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family members along with many friends.

A celebration of Richard's life will be held on Thursday, May 23, 2024 with a gathering from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM followed by a remembrance service at 6:00 PM all at the Weber Funeral Home, 112 Broad Street, Riverton, NJ 08077.

A gathering will be held afterwards at SG23 Design, 600 Main Street, Suite 3, Riverton, NJ 08077.
