Richard G. Grockenberger, Sr., lifelong resident of Alden Ave., Delran, passed away peacefully on June 29th, he was 81.

Richard was born on Independence Day, 1941 to the late Paul Otto and Hildegard Grockenberger.  He served proudly in the U.S. Army as a weapons specialist, then went on to work for Dow Chemical in Pennsauken.  Richard was a former member of Delran Fire Department #2, Delran Emergency Squad, past president of Delran Seniors and most importantly, he had a huge heart, loved his family dearly and enjoyed making people laugh.

Richard is survived by his loving wife, Carol (nee Cinalli), married 59 ½ years, children, Richard G. (Shelly) Grockenberger, Jr., Renee James, grandchildren, Michael, Mercedes, Danielle, Brandon, Angelina, sister, Jean Hess and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Walter Grockenberger, sisters, Esther Cliborne and Bettylou Slater.

A viewing for Richard will be held on Thursday, July 6th from 9:00am to 11:00am, followed by a funeral service at 11:00am, all at Weber Funeral Home, 112 Broad St., Riverton, NJ 08077.  Interment at B.G. William C. Doyle Veteran's Cemetery will be held at a later date.
