Rita Anna Leone (nee Nelli) passed away peacefully at home on May 24, 2021, with her family by her side.

Rita was born May 23, 1931, in Philadelphia, PA to the late Nicola and Giovannina (Di Santo) Nelli. She grew up in Philadelphia and married the boy next door, Mario P. Leone, on September 26, 1953, with whom she enjoyed 58 years of marriage before Mario's passing in 2011.  Rita and Mario, along with their 4 children, moved to Riverton, NJ in 1964 where they continued to build lifelong friendships.

Rita taught preschool at the old Red Balloon Nursery School on Howard Street for many years and also worked at Victorian Thymes for a number of years.  Rita and Mario also enjoyed traveling, often with family and friends.

Rita and Mario were active and proud parishioners of Sacred Heart Church in Riverton.

She is survived by her children and their spouses, Mario and Susan Leone of Cinnaminson, Joanna and Robert Walch of Spartanburg, SC, Robert and Peggy Leone of Franklinville, and Andrew and Morgan Leone of Riverton.  Rita was the loving grandmother of Mario, Benjamin and Giovanni Leone; Matthew Anstreicher; Michael, Thomas and Christopher Leone; Caitlin, Jordan, Zachary and Nate Leone; and great-granddaughter Harper.

Please join us to remember and honor Rita.  A viewing will be held Friday, June 4, 2021 from 7:00pm-9:00pm, and Saturday, June 5 from 8:30am-9:30 am, at Weber Funeral Home, 112 Broad Street, Riverton, NJ.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, June 5, 2021 at 10 am at Sacred Heart Church, Linden Avenue & 4th Street, Riverton.  Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Yeadon, PA.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Rita's memory may be made to Cure Alzheimer's Fund (curealz.org) or St. Jude's Children's Hospital (stjude.org).
