Obituary

Rita Mary Millman (nee' Cahill), age 92, of Cinnaminson, NJ passed peacefully surrounded by her family on February 11, 2025.

Rita was born in Philadelphia in 1932 to the late Mary I. (nee' Hayes) and Joseph T. Cahill, one of their eight children. She grew up in the Germantown section of Philadelphia and was a proud graduate of the Little Flower Catholic High School for Girls, class of 1951. Upon marrying her husband, Michael R. Millman, they moved to Palmyra, NJ and started their family.

Rita and Mike lived in Palmyra for several years, then in Riverton, NJ for 30 years, before moving to Cape May, NJ, where she spent many years with her family as a child. They moved back to Cinnaminson 25 years ago to be closer to their family.

Rita was a longtime member of Sacred Heart Church, Riverton, where she was very active in her younger years. She was also a previous active member of the Porch Club of Riverton. Rita enjoyed making pottery and ceramics, even having her own kiln at her home for many years. She was an excellent baker and chef who enjoyed cooking for her family and hosting family and friends at her home.

Rita was predeceased by her sons, Mark R. Millman and Michael J. Millman. She is survived by her beloved husband of 68 years, Michael R. Millman, and their loving daughter, Dorothy A. Millman, along with her grandchildren, Michael J. Millman, Jr. (Heather), Donald J. "DJ" Bucci (Chelsea), Kerri O'Neil (Steve), Victoria Loyd (Peyton), Taylor Leigh Bucci and Andrew Millman. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Max and Finn Millman, Korban and Grace Bucci, Erin and Abby O'Neil, and Wyatt, Bennett and Sadie Loyd, and her daughter-in law, Cheryl Millman, as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Rita was also predeceased by her siblings, Fthr. Jospeh T., Leon, Dolores, Elbert, Paul, Clare "Cookie" and Richard, as well as by her in-laws, Joan, Leonard and Patricia.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM, all held at Sacred Heart Church, 4th Street & Linden Avenue, Riverton, NJ 08077. Burial at Lakeview Memorial Park will follow.
