There was no other place on Earth he would rather be than with his family.
Robert P. Myers, "Bob", age 88, of Bordentown, NJ formerly of Riverton, NJ and Surf City, NJ, passed on January 20, 2024.
Bob was born to the late Catherine (nee' Mooney) and Clarence G. Myers and grew up in Upper Darby, PA where he attended school at St. Lawrence and West Catholic High School. He was a proud Veteran of the United States Air Force, serving from 1955 to 1963. Bob went on to graduate from LaSalle University with a bachelor's degree in business management then began his career working as a Sales Engineer for Cincinnati Milacron Corp. covering the northeastern territory. He then went on to work for the Burlington County Bridge Commission until his retirement.
Bob and his wife Dori lived in Riverton, NJ for 44 years, raising their family there and were active members of Sacred Heart Church, Riverton. They spent their summers on 20th in Surf City, NJ. Bob enjoyed sailing at Surf City Yacht Club, loved to read, especially WW II history, travel and go to the theater. Bob especially loved his time at the Beach in both Surf City and for their annual family trips to Ocracoke Island on the Outer Banks, NC.
In addition to his parents, Bob was predeceased by his brother, John "Jack" A. Myers and sister-in-law, Nancy Myers. Bob is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Dori E. Myers, and their loving children, Patrick Myers and his fiancé Erin McAnulty of Delran, Joseph Myers and his wife Lauren of Bordentown, and Kristin Myers of Savannah, GA. Also surviving are his beloved grandchildren, Caitlin, Augustus, and Seamus Myers, as well as his niece, Cathy Ghaner and her husband Phil and their family.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Friday, January 26, 2024, from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM followed by his Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM all at Sacred Heart Church, 4th Street & Linden Avenue, Riverton, NJ 08077.
