Obituary

Robert E. Owen, Jr., age 87, of Palmyra, NJ passed peacefully on April 23, 2024.

Bob was born and raised in Philadelphia where he graduated from Northeast Catholic High School. Bob proudly served in the U.S. Navy from 1957 to 1961. Upon his return from the Navy, Bob obtained a certification in Drafting from Ryder Technical Institute and began his career in the Elevator Industry where he was a Draftsman and an Inspector.

Bob and his wife, Anna Marie (nee' DeBolt), shared 58-years of marriage together after meeting at Century Mills in Riverside. They settled in Palmyra where they raised their family and continued to live to this day. Bob was committed to his Catholic faith and was a longtime parishioner of Sacred Heart Church in Riverton where he served as an usher for many years and was involved in many aspects of the church.

Bob was an avid golfer and loved spending time out on the golf course, especially at the Golden Pheasant Golf Club in Medford where he was a member for many years. When he wasn't golfing or spending time with family, he was very handy and liked to tinker on projects in their home or cars. Bob was the ultimate caregiver, devoted to his family and his two dogs, Tasha and Lizzie.

Bob was predeceased by his parents, Margaret C. (nee' Burke) and Robert E. Owen, Sr., his sisters, Annmarie Haney and Margaret Kramar, his grandson, Nathan Huntsinger, and best friend, John "Jack" Devine.

Bob is survived by his beloved wife, Anna, their children, Robert E. Owen, III, Elizabeth Dulaca (John), Debra Weiss (Eric), and Michelle Huntsinger (Matt) and grandchildren, Brendan Dulaca, Eric Weiss, Jr., Hunter Weiss, Nicholas Dulaca, Jessica Weiss, Rachel Dulaca and Matthew Huntsinger, Jr.
