Robert John Venango, "Uncle Bob", of Palmyra, NJ passed away peacefully on November 3, 2023. He was 79.

Robert was born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Margaret (nee Altomari) and Theodore Venango. He attended North Catholic High School, then served in the US Army in Vietnam. During his service in Vietnam, Bob received the Army Commendation Medal.

"Uncle Bob" became an uncle at the age of 8 years old. He played Santa to many nieces and nephews from the Venango's, the Jizzi's and the Tropello's. He was their Number 1 babysitter.

Bob was the owner of Venango's Custom Window Treatments for many years. He was a longtime parishioner of Sacred Heart Church, Riverton, where he served as a Lector since 1979. He served as President of the Palmyra PALs athletic association for one year. Bob loved his boat, dancing and was a fan of all of the Philadelphia Sports Teams for over 60-years.

Bob is survived by his loving wife of 50-years, Frances Venango (nee Jones); Uncle and Dad to his two sons, Christopher P. Flynn (Andrea) and Robert A. Flynn (Maricka). He was the Special Uncle to Joseph, Alyssa, Christopher, Jr., Alex, Robert, Jr. and Emma Rose. Bob is also survived by his brother, Theodore Venango (the late Joan) and was predeceased by his brother, Joseph (Cate), and sisters, Eleanor Venango and Edith ("Chippy") Tropello.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Thursday, November 9, 2023 from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM followed by his Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM all at the Sacred Heart Church, 4th Street & Linden Ave., Riverton, NJ 08077. Mausoleum Entombment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park, Cinnaminson, NJ. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Vietnam Veterans of America would be appreciated.
