Obituary

Rodney Leon Grissett,49, of Riverside, passed away on July 15, 2020. Rodney was born in Conway, SC, he was the son of Angela (Johnson) Grissett and, the late, James Henry Grissett.  Rodney was educated in the East Orange & Newark school systems.  Rodney was known affectionately known by family & friends as: "Rodmac", or "Rahiem".  Rodney loved basketball, cooking, and most of all taking care of his beloved family.  He loved to entertain family and friends, he was known for his Phenomenal Banana Pudding, Spinach Lasagna,and being a master of the grill.  He was a electrician by trade, but was always eager to assist anyone, in anyway possible.  He was a jack of all trades, and also a master of all things.

Rodney's memory will be cherished and forever remembered by his loving and devoted wife of 26 years, Angela Green, his mother, Angela Lee Grissett (nee Johnson) of Orange, NJ; as well as his children: Alexandra Brown-Grissett of Woodbridge NJ, Ashley Brown-Grissett of Iselin,NJ Shaquana Grissett-Solomon of Newark, (bonus daughter) Sharmaine Davina Bunch,of Burlington City, NJ, Emanuel Grissett of Riverside, NJ and 4 Grandchildren, E'Mani Bullock, Ka'Shon Bullock, Jaylen Bunch and Renee Young. Rodney is also survived by his brothers, James Anthony Grissett (Latifa) of East Orange, NJ, and Jimmy Edward Tinney (Tesla) of Conway, SC, and his sisters, Sharon C. Grissett-Jones (Demetrius) of Rochester, NY, Kimberly Diane Henderson (Karlton) of Plainfield, NJ.  Rodney has a host of Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews & Cousins to cherish his memory.  He was predeceased by his father, James Henry Grissett.

Viewing will be Saturday, July 25 from 9 – 10:30 AM, at the Weber Funeral Home 112 Broad St., Riverton, NJ.  Interment at Monument Cemetery, Beverly, on Saturday July 25 after the final viewing.
