Samuel "Sam" Maldonado Lagares, age 88, of Delran, NJ, passed away peacefully on Aug 13th, 2022, surrounded by his loving family.

Sam was born on August 20, 1933 in Utuado, Puerto Rico, the son of late, Clara Maldonado and Ramon Lagares.

He was a proud soldier who served in the military in 1957. He retired from General Motors and went on to spend many years at Hamilton Supply.

Sam's antics were legendary and those who knew him have their own stories to tell. Loved by just about everyone who knew him, Sam had a way of drawing people to him. He enjoyed music and playing his guitar, but his favorite hobby was spending time with his children and grandchildren, whom he adored.

Sam is survived by his children, Rosa Thomas (Terry), Blanca Lagares (David), Samuel Lagares Jr., Claritza Perez (Paul), Patricia Lagares, Sandra Robinson, his dearly loved grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
