Sharon A. McDermott of Riverton passed away peacefully at home on July 27th, 2023, she was 77.

Sharon was born in Riverside, NJ to the late Paul and Anne McDermott.  She graduated from Holy Cross High School, class of '63 then from Trenton State College (TCNJ.)  She taught many years for the Cherry Hill School District and briefly at Corpus Christi School in Willingboro. Sharon was an active member at Sacred Heart Church in Riverton where she played guitar and sang in the music ministry and for the Kid's Masses.  She enjoyed guitar, singing, sports and spending time at the shore with her family. Annually she opened up her home to her beloved family and friends for a potluck to celebrate Independence Day and observe the 4th of July Parade.

Sharon is survived by her longtime partner, Kathy Davidson, siblings, Vincent (Karen), Colleen, the late Paul, sister-in-law, Kathleen and many nieces, nephews, and cousins for whom she will always be remembered as kind, thoughtful and upbeat.

A visitation for Sharon will be held on Thursday, August 3rd, 2023 from 9:00am to 10:45am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am, all at Sacred Heart Church, 4th Street & Linden Ave., Riverton, NJ 08077.  Interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park, Cinnaminson.
