Susan Gail McGinley, 79, of Owensville, MO passed away Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at Mercy Hospital in Washington, MO.

She was born Jan. 6, 1946, to Virgil and Mildred (Smerczynski) Isom in Salem, Mass.

Susan was married to Lawrence J. "Larry" McGinley on May 6, 1978, in Haddon, N.J.

Susan was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Owensville, MO and a member of the Owensville Garden Club.

Susan started her nursing career in Boston, MA and was brought by a surgeon to work at Hanneman Hospital in Philadelphia before enjoying a career as an O.R. nurse at Virtua Hospital in Mt. Holly.  She enjoyed gardening, fishing, her two labs, one husky, and enjoyed playing Mrs. Claus alongside her husband as Santa at various local events.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Mildred Isom; her husband, Lawrence McGinley; and a brother, Richard Isom.

Her survivors include her nephews, Justin Isom and wife Tiphani of Owensville, Matthew Isom of Bourbon, and Patrick Leach and wife Marie of Newtown, Pa.; nieces, Megan McGinley of Cinnaminson, N.J. and Elizabeth Turley and husband Jon of Cherry Hill, N. J.; great-nephews, Justin M. Isom and wife Mackenzie, Timothy Isom, Hunter Isom, Wesley Isom, and Arthur Isom all of Owensville; great-niece, Ariebella Isom of Owensville; and godson, Kevin Acker and wife Lauren of Maple Shade N.J.

A visitation for Susan will be held on Saturday, October 18th, 2025 from 9:30am to 10:30am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am, both at Sacred Heart Church, 4th Street and Linden Avenue, Riverton, NJ 08077.  Interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park, Cinnaminson, NJ.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Susan's name may be made to Inglis House, 2600 Belmont Ave., Philadelphia, PA19131.
