Valerie W. Peirce (nee West), age 87, of Palmyra, NJ passed peacefully on November 18, 2023.

Valerie was born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Gertrude (nee Hartusch) and Edward West, where they lived until Valerie was ten years old when the family relocated to East Riverton, NJ. Valerie was a graduate of Palmyra High School and was a longtime resident of Riverton and Palmyra, NJ.

Valerie enjoyed a career in banking working at Pennsylvania Savings Fund Society (PSFS) and its successor, Mellon Bank, for 38-years before her retirement in 1993. She worked very hard at her career while also raising her four sons. Valerie was "extremely crafty", skilled in sewing and ceramics, and was a master gardener transforming her home in Palmyra with beautiful gardens that had plantings that would bloom for each season. She especially loved her family and spending time at the family farm nearby Towanda, PA in Bradford County that was in the family for generations.

Valerie was predeceased by her beloved husband, David H. Peirce, Sr. (1992), and their dear son, Edward Scott Peirce (2022). She is survived her dear sons, David H. Peirce, Jr. (the late Cindy Schlegel), Steven J. Peirce and his wife Maya, and Todd J. Peirce and his wife Kim. Valerie is also survived by her loving grandchildren, Jessica Peirce and Dakota Peirce, along with her brother, Ron West, and dearest friends, Jane McCarter and Barbara Soboczynski.
