Wayne T. Steele, Jr, aged 65, of Delran, NJ passed away peacefully on September 17, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones.

Wayne is lovingly remembered by his children, Sarah Hutton (Patrick) of Elkton, MD, and Nicholas Steele of Middletown, DE; his sister, Susan King (John) of Davie, FL; and his former wife and best friend, Jennifer Steele of Alexandria, VA.

He was preceded in death by his beloved son, Joseph Steele; his mother, Sarah Elms; his sister, Donna Scott; and his children's mother and dearest friend, Mary Cakir.

Wayne lived a life rooted in purpose, passion, and community. Known to many as "Coach Steele," he was a guiding force in South Jersey's youth baseball scene for over 30 years; not just coaching, but mentoring and uplifting generations of young athletes.

A devoted follower of Jesus Christ, Wayne lived out his faith by leading Bible study groups and launching outreach programs that reflected Christ's love, bringing strength, hope, and encouragement to all those around him

His booming voice, unmistakable laugh, and bold personality made him impossible to ignore and even harder to forget. He leaves behind a legacy of love, leadership, and unshakable spirit.

A visitation followed by a celebration of life will be held at Weber Funeral Home, Riverton, NJ on Monday, September 22nd from 5pm-7pm, where family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and honor Wayne's remarkable life. Internment will follow the next morning Tuesday, September 23rd at 10:30am in the mausoleum at Lakeview Memorial Park, Cinnaminson, NJ.
