Wilbur E.
Bardeer, Jr.
Oct 29, 1935 — Oct 21, 2025
Wilbur E. Bardeer, Jr. was ushered into the presence of Jesus on October 21, 2025 at the age of 89. Wil was born in Medford, NJ and graduated from Rancocas Valley Regional High School. He was little brother to four older sisters. He enjoyed over 68 years of wedded bliss to his high school sweetheart, Ruth (McGinnis).
Wil was a devoted and valued employee at PSE&G where he served for 42 years. He began as an entry level employee and through hard work and skill he advanced to the position of Senior Engineer. He loved his job, developed many friendships, and had many interesting experiences while working at PSE&G.
Wil was a member of the United States Army National Guard for nearly 25 years where he reached the rank of Major. Although he experienced the sacrifices of time spent away from his family, he was proud to serve the country that he loved so dearly.
Wilbur was a faithful leader at Cinnaminson Baptist Church where he attended for nearly 60 years. He served as Deacon, Chairman of the Missions Committee, sang in the choir, played on the softball team, and served in many other key roles at the church. He will be greatly missed by many close brothers and sisters.
All who knew Wil considered him a fun loving, friendly, generous and considerate person. Some fond memories include: family vacations at LBI, birthday parties, cooking on the BBQ grill, setting up camp on the corner of Riverton Road for the 4th of July Parade, and perhaps most memorable of all, sitting on the floor in the living room, distributing the presents on Christmas morning with a huge smile on his face, joy in his heart, and his handy penknife ready for action. He was the designated carver of the meat on any holiday, consummate vacuumer, tenacious collector of whirlybirds, and proud curator of his immaculately kept yard. His favorite chair in the family room was always ready to receive him, to open his footrest, and support his clapping feet while he watched his favorite Philadelphia sports team.
Wil's greatest love was for his family. He always looked forward to spending time with his beloved family above all else and was dearly loved by his wife, Ruth, his son, Barry and daughter-in-law, Kathy, his daughter, Michele and son-in-law, Matt and his sister, Becky. He will be forever remembered, cherished and emulated by his 6 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
We can only imagine the joyous celebration, reunion and embrace that took place with his son, Barry and many other loved ones but most of all with his Lord Jesus Christ.
