William P.
Cronin
Oct 14, 1932 — Feb 24, 2025
Our loving husband, father, uncle and devoted grandfather, William Patrick Cronin of Cinnaminson, NJ passed away peacefully at home on February 24, 2025 surrounded by his family.
A dedicated husband to Leona (née Jorski) for 62 years, and father to Cindy (Doug) White, Karen Cronin (Bruce Keiser), Valerie (Joseph) Carita, and Barbara Peters. Bill is also survived by his younger brother Daniel (Carol) Cronin. Lovingly remembered by his granddaughters (Grace, Julia), nephews (Ryan, Tyler), and many cherished cousins, nieces & nephews near and far.
Born on October 14, 1932 to William P. and Anna (née Wilkins) Cronin in Philadelphia. Bill served in the U.S. Air Force as a Staff Sergeant in Labrador, Canada. He graduated in 1950 from Northeast High School, Philadelphia; married Leona in 1962 and settled in Cinnaminson. Bill graduated from Drexel University in 1963, and was employed as an accountant for 34 years at NL Industries, lower Manhattan & Hightstown, NJ.
Bill loved his Irish heritage and summer vacations in Wildwood. He loved playing golf, tending his vegetable & pollinator gardens, caring for many family pets, and feeding the neighborhood stray cats. He was a lifelong Phillies and Eagles fan. For more than 20 years, Bill enjoyed bi-monthly meetings with his NEHS Breakfast Club.
In retirement Bill and Leona enjoyed traveling together, but most of all, Bill loved his family, and spent as much time with them as possible. He will be remembered for his gentle nature, clever sense of humor, and the unconditional support he extended to his beloved family.
Visitation at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 8th, 2025 at Sacred Heart Church in Riverton, NJ, followed by Mass at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Bill's honor to the Friends of Burlington County Animal Shelter, Feed Hungry Community Cats program: FriendsofBCAS.org.
